Free Windows Programs for Web Design Clients

These free programs are often as good as or even better than commercial alternatives; the majority of users will never need to pay for a commercial version of these programs. Please let me know if any links are broken.
Edit and Resize Multiple Images at Once:
Re-sizing your images before uploading them to the site goes a long way towards keeping a fast-loading website. These programs will make resizing entire folders of images a sinch.
- Faststone Image Resizer - Edit and resize multiple images at once.
- Super easy, right-click resizing of multiple images (resize only): Windows XP version and Windows Vista version.
Image Editors (Installed)
- LightBox Free - Great image editor for beginners.
- GIMP - Free image editing program for advanced users. Makes a great alternative to Photoshop. For those who want an interface similar to Photoshop, try the variant GimPhoto. A slightly simpler program for intermediate users is Paint.NET.
Image Editors (Online)

- http://www.splashup.com/ - ONLINE photo editor that works well with image sharing sites
- http://aviary.com/ - ONLINE image editor and other tools
Color Pickers:
- Color Cop - Capture any color on your screen or choose one from a color palette
FTP Clients (useful for bulk image upload):
- Filezilla - a popular, stand-alone FTP client
- FireFTP- a Firefox add-on. Convenient if you already have Firefox as your web browser.
Special purpose FTP clients:
- CoreFTP LE - if a site is giving you connection problems, this client is known to beat them
- Tunnelier - faster SFTP connections
- WinSCP - SCP (secure copy) client
